Based on the success of last edition, the 8^th Dongguan China Shoes. China Shoetec (Autumn 2008), the UFI approved professional footwear event, will be grandly staged again from October 30 – November 1 at Guangdong Modern International Exhibition Center, Houjie, Dongguan, PR China.

With full support from the industry, the 7^th Dongguan China Shoes . China Shoetec (Spring 2008) was successfully held from April 16 – 18, 2008, at Guangdong Modern International Exhibition Center. 507 famous shoes enterprises from home and abroad joined the show to exhibit their latest products and solutions at 22,000sqm exhibiting area. 20,580 buyers and visitors from 80 countries and regions were attracted to visit during the 3-day event, among which 27% were coming overseas. Both exhibitors and visitors were satisfied with the show.

Imports of shoes in China from Jan – May 2008 witnessed a strong momentum of growth. Total 4.3 million pairs of leather-vamp shoes and boots were imported, growing 43.7% over the same period of last year. Annual domestic shoes consumption reached more than 2 billion pairs, most of which were medium-to-top grades. Various statistics show that there is huge potential in China domestic market. Facing the blooming domestic retail market, numerous internationally renowned brands flow into China, while Chinese enterprises also take strategic measures to expand their domestic sales.

To meet the sourcing routes & pattern of worldwide buyers, Dongguan China Shoes (Autumn 2008) will be launched in the same period of China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair). More convenience in accommodation and transportation will be offered to facilitate buyers’ visit. Moreover, organizers are working on extensive worldwide buyers promotion and expecting that over 23,000 buyers from home and abroad will gather in Houjie, Dongguan in the coming autumn event.

Professional seminars covering a wide range of topics, such as shoes export regulations and procedures, development and exploration of the domestic sales market, shoes design and latest material technologies, release of the fashion trends in color and style of 2009, etc. In addition, “Buyers’ Dinner” and “Premium Buyers Lounge” will be held again to let invited oversea buyers gather together and to exchange market information under relaxed atmosphere, thus to promote the communication among market players across the world.

Besides, in order to facilitate the visit and sourcing of buyers, the upcoming autumn event will be divided into “Shoe Zone”, “Accessories, Leather and Materials Zone” and “Machinery Zone”, with multiple thematic areas focusing on heels, leather, and new footwear styles, enabling buyers to gain knowledge on the latest and most authoritative product information while visiting and placing orders at the fairgrounds.
